Reading Date with 13 year old niece
Today, I had the joy of taking my 13 year old niece on a Reading Date. In a society where reading for leisure is often seen as a chore, I remain resolute in promoting the joy of reading.
Watching my niece pause to share with me exciting scenes from her book was truly heartwarming. Her deep comprehension and passion for reading are the fruits of our intentional efforts to foster a love for books.
I can’t help but boast a little, my niece’s reasoning skills are currently on par with a 24 year old, thanks to her strong reading habits. This is a testament to the power of a reading lifestyle, something we’ve diligently encouraged.
The battle to make reading a cherished activity is one worth fighting. Seeing family members who once hated reading, now enjoying books for leisure, is incredibly rewarding. My subtle yet pragmatic influence has made a difference.
So, have you done your 10 minutes of reading today?
Let’s keep the reading spirit alive!
