UNPLUG YOUR FEARS BY MBALI BLAAI
The Radical cure for Technophobia
MBALI BLAAI
Leader, Coach, speaker, and author
Committed to changing lives through reading, innovation, and helping communities grow.
I am a South African leader who works where literacy, innovation, and youth empowerment meet. I speak, manage programmes, guide teams, and write with one goal in mind — helping people of all ages build confidence and believe in their own potential.
I wrote Unplug Your Fears to make technology feel less intimidating and to support anyone struggling with technophobia, using empathy, clarity, and real‑life guidance. As a committed reading activist, I see literacy as a form of freedom, and I create programmes that make reading joyful, accessible, and part of everyday life.
Across schools, communities, and public spaces, I share ideas that inspire learning, spark creativity, and encourage people to grow in ways that feel true to them.

Unplug Your Fears – Book Overview
Technology is advancing so fast that many people feel overwhelmed and anxious. This fear, known as technophobia, often comes from believing you’re not “smart enough” for digital tools.
Unplug Your Fears by Mbali Blaai argues that the real battle is in your mindset, not the technology itself. The book teaches you to silence negative self‑talk and see technology as a human‑made tool meant to serve you. Ultimately, it guides you to build digital confidence, overcome tech paralysis, and reclaim your power in the digital age.
